"Coleford Together"

We joined many local organisations and stall holders, alongside artworks and displays, at a two-day "sustainability" event at Coleford Baptist Church run by the Severn Wye Energy Agency. There were free activities, including ones especially for children. Other organisations attending included:

The Forest Exchange - free household goods, toys and clothing
Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust- make your own terrarium
Severn Trent Water - help with reducing water bills and waste water
Severn Wye Energy Agency - support and advice on energy

There was some great engagement and meaningful conversations.  We particularly enjoyed hearing about community-energy projects happening just over the river in Wales.

The next stage of the "Coleford Together" project involves collating all the information gathered over the two days and compiling a report to look at the emerging themes.

In a couple of months there will be a follow‑up event to share these findings with the community, explore which project ideas should be prioritised, and discuss how they can be moved onto the next stage.
