Energy in the Forest

Many thanks to the Climate Centre UK for the lovely video they made during the Octopus Energy visit to the Forest of Dean. The day included a tour looking at the challenges and opportunities for cleaner energy here in the Forest.

Our visitors from Octopus Energy joined us during our evening meeting to explore the support needs of community energy groups, and to investigate the barriers we face. The feedback from the session helped shape Octopus and EDF’s Electrify Britain campaign.

Our guests were keen to hear what kinds of governmental support—whether it’s boosting social capital, providing technical or legal expertise, or something else—would make it easier for community energy projects to succeed here in the Forest of Dean.
