Future Energy Landscapes

Future Energy Landscapes
Looking at a local map

Forest Community Energy is supporting a series of three Future Energy Landscapes workshops with Forest of Dean Climate Action Partnership (FODCAP) and Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE). The first was in Westbury-on-Severn and Blaisdon, to be followed by Tidenham, and Dymock. An exciting workshop focused on how we can power our community using local renewable energy.

There was a great turnout and a lively discussion about future renewable community energy in the local area.

“We had 20 attendees (and more showed interest though they couldn't attend). This is brilliant for a rural area with population at 2000+. For comparison in another area population 13,000, there were 27 attendees!
The above is a testament to FODCAP, FoDDC and FCE support at hyper local events! There was a good cross section of the community in terms of views (we weren't preaching to the converted) with lots of discussion at the end about environmental impact of solar PV and wind."
