Kempley Parish Council Briefing

As a follow-up to the "Empowering Our Councils" event in July, it was great to meet the Kempley parish council and talk about community energy.  As well as giving our presentation we showed the new "Quick Introduction to Community Energy" video.

We talked about a local community energy project (solar and battery) at The Sling Community Hub and the Future Energy Landscapes workshop in neighbouring Dymock & Bromesberrow Parishes. The Dymock & Bromesberrow report with all the post-workshop engagement, will be available in October.  There may be opportunities for Parish Councils to partner with neighbours to pursue a renewable energy project locally if there are no obvious projects locally.

Since our briefing, the anticipated Great British Energy funding round has been announced supporting community energy projects across the UK.

If your parish or town council would be interested in a presentation do let us know.
