The Carnival of Transport
What a brilliant day at the Coleford Carnival of Transport!
It is local outreach like this that really highlights very real concerns around energy. Connecting with like-minded people who support our aims is incredibly heartening too. The sun was shining and we had lots of people chatting all things Community Energy with us.
We gave out many coasters, met people from all over the District, and even found another great local event to go to this summer in Wollaston, a village with no mains gas.
Popular topics included solar panels, solar diverters, batteries, the new Warm Homes Plan, community-owned solar on roof-tops, the potential for wind power, balcony (or plug-in) solar, and the thermal camera loan scheme.
We met one local couple who came to our Solar Information Event in 2024, and now have solar panels on their roof! Excellent!
Many thanks to our team of six supporting this event (Andy, Phil, Jerry, Solly, Simon, and Helen), and especially to Andy for the home-made scones!

It was pretty chilly setting-up at 8am!
