We are celebrating!

We are delighted to announce that on 1st October 2025 Forest Community Energy CBS Ltd officially became a Community Benefit Society, registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).  Registration number: 9620.

This is a great milestone and will allow us to set up a bank account and apply for grants and funding for local projects. Many thanks to our six Directors, our active group members, and to the many people who have supported and encouraged us on the way.

A special mention must go to the Forest of Dean District Council Climate Team and the Centre for Sustainable Energy for their advice, support and encouragement over the past three years.

Mentoring support via the Energy Learing Network has been invaluable, and we are also a member of Community Energy England, a membership organisation supporting over 300 community energy groups!
