April Meeting in Redmarley
Our April meeting was at a new venue for us, Redmarley Village Hall, on a lovely evening, after an afternoon of hail and thunder. It is a delightful hall with a beautiful window in the main space, and good facilities.
We covered a lot of topics including updates on our current projects:
- Future Energy Landscapes – Dymock & Bromesberrow Parishes - we will be attending a coffee morning at the Shop at Bromesberrow, and the Sustainability Cafe at Hellen's Manor as the next engagement events.
- Future Energy Landscapes - Tidenham Parish is the next one, and there will be a site-visit to Sedbury and Beachley Village Hall as the first step.
- Attending Local Events – Carnival of Transport in Coleford went very well. We are planning our list events to go to over the summer, including the Forest Showcase Spring Food Festival on 24th May.
- Get Grant Ready - Pilot – the next meeting is coming up.
- Find a Roof – let’s find a good one for our first solar project. Ideally, a large roof, where the owner pays the electricity bill, and uses a lot of electricity. If you have a candiate please let us know by submitting a roof.

The big news to share was the awarding of a Great British Energy Community Energy Fund grant by the South West Net Zero Hub!
Many thanks to everyone who came along. Our next meeting will be online on Thursday 14th May 2026. Do let us know if you would like to join in.
